Client Testimonial: How Enfuse Group Enhanced De Montfort University’s Digital Journey

Enfuse Group have been working closely with De Montfort University (DMU) across a number of initiatives, to help them realise value now while pursuing ambitious transformation programmes across the institution. Hear from Tracey Jessup, Chief Transformational Officer at DMU, on her experience working with Enfuse below:

MORE INFORMATION ON THE WORK

Enfuse Group has been actively partnering with DMU since October 2023, working across a number of transformational initiatives. DMU initially engaged Enfuse to help adopt and embed the leading business process transformation software SAP Signavio, while capturing their recruitment processes end-to-end. The objectives of the initial engagement were threefold:

  1. Embed Signavio as a tool for driving business transformation through the successful execution of a Proof-of-Concept initiative in HR and the maturing of in-house process capabilities

  2. Model the recruitment cycle end-to-end to understand where processes can be optimised through the removal of pain points, clarification of responsibilities, updates to system functionality and other process inefficiencies i.e. realising value from their investment now

  3. Understand the as-is state of recruitment processes, and compare them to to-be processes for a new recruitment system. Business requirements from the as-is modelling were identified, which influenced how the system was configured to suit DMU's needs (without creating a customised environment). Where a decision was made to adopt best practice from the to-be models a detailed change plan was created to mitigate against a failed system implementation

These objectives were successfully met and a new culture and approach to continuous improvement has been embeeded at the university. As a result, subsequent work has been undertaken to connect Signavio Process Insights to DMU's SAP finance environment (for live system data monitoring and customised process improvement suggestions), which is the first ever successful implementation of the module at a UK higher education client. Future work will likely focus on moving core business areas off of legacy systems that are falling out of support in the coming years, using the same approach above.
